Four-person crew will join Expedition 67 at the International Space Station.
Four astronauts have been chosen for the fifth crewed mission of the NASA Commercial Crew Program to the International Space Station this fall. Naval aviator, test pilot, and NASA engineer, U.S. Marine Colonel Nicole Mann, has been selected to command the upcoming mission.
The daughter of a Vietnam veteran, Colonel Mann is the first indigenous woman to travel into space. The other members of Crew-5 are naval aviator Josh Cassada, Japanese engineer and JAXA astronaut Koichi Wakata, and cosmonaut Anna Kikina.
Crew-5 will launch from Kennedy Space Center aboard a SpaceX Crew Dragon powered by a Falcon 9 rocket. Once they arrive at the space station, they will join the crew of Crew-4 to conduct the scientific experiments of Expedition 68.
